<lj:music>Linkin Park - With You</lj:music>

I must admit. Graduation went fairly well, with the exception of Art Johnson who everyone in Palm Beach County now knows is a racist assface.
(Oh yea, and the two annoying-as-hell airhorns that were bound to go off.)
It was quite the spectacle with the audience as well because they were rather unruly at some points.
But overall, I did not walk away from the whole event with an impassioned sense of loathing for Dr. Weigel.
Instead, as I'm sure holds true for many of the graduates of 2006, to me receiving the high school diploma was a liberation, and a foundation for progress (not as much as the IB diploma of course) rather than a straight-up "achievement."
On that note, Adam, your graduation went extremely well as I was utterly impressed by your speakers (particularly Mia Shandell), and I feel proud and emotional to see you pass through to the next best phase of your life.

My parents and brother deserve a thank you (which hopefully they won't read because I would rather they didn't read my LiveJournal O.o) for not only taking me to Denny's and Ichiban in one day, not only giving me a FINAL FANTASY POCKETWATCH, the Robot Chicken DVD, a live Gorillaz DVD, and 180$ (the Jewish 18-absolution), but for selflessly waiting for a towtruck at Ichiban when my mom's car got a flat tire so that I could go see Robyn. That is the type of thing that reminds me to visit home and cherish the things that only a family can give.

To my closest friends, I dearly hope we will stay in touch through the years even if you are going to some place other than UF. You have all shaped and molded my personality, and I would not be the same Eddie/Eddy/Meddy/etc that I am today without you.

To, in particular, Adam and Anndal, you two are going the farthest away from me but I feel the closest to you. You guys are undoubtedly my best friends, and I believe this because timeless friendships outlast triviality. I know that whatever happens in these years to follow we will be able to keep in touch, because that is what best friends do.

And to Robyn. You brighten up my day before the sun rises with the memories we are creating, and you set the sun when we must part. It would be inconceivable to properly express such feelings in words, and actions speak louder than words anyways. Thank you for your gifts, not only the cute ones that I absolutely love but the love that is absolutely cute, and I hope the time we share will prove to be long and fulfilling.

So it goes...

    <lj:music>The Beatles - Octopus' Garden</lj:music>

Not many birthdays take two months to plan.
Not many birthdays cost such exorbitant amounts of money.
But sometimes it is worth the indulgence.

As if anyone wouldn't already be craving escape from school on a Friday,
this particular Friday was especially fucking long.
However, that too was worth the wait, and we left straight from school towards Orlando.
The traffic up stayed fairly flow-y. The driving, more an adventure than a task.
I couldn't take the turnpike without stopping at least once at a rest stop - too much fun, too many memories.
Me and Dan watched around half of Fear and Loathing on the way up; I read Vanessa's gift Playboy's Bartender's Guide scouting for interesting looking mixes.
Made good time to Orlando thanks to Vanessa's ace driving and generally decent weather.
Unfortunately, Gary and Natalia got caught in rush hour traffic. So there was some hanging-out downtime at the hotel with Vanessa, Dan, Kristina et moi.

Once Gary and Natalia were safely at the hotel, we all got ready and headed off to Downtown Disney.
Natalia and I had been craving Bongo's and, god damn it was worth the money.
Best steak I've had in awhile. Not to mention I tried some root called yuco con mora or something.
Anyways, everyone somehow told the restaurant it was my birthday without me never knowing, which kind of freaked me out...there was probably some crazy telekinesis going on.
So there was singing, caramel flan, and and some maraca keychain that the restaurant made me pay 8$ for.
After Bongo's, we excursioned to Sammy Sosa's Cigar Co. where I came upon a 3-pack of Kahlua cigars. Yummy.

We all headed to Pleasure Island afterwards.
There was a live blues band throwing out Mardi Gras beads. And Dan tried to convince me that one magically landed around my neck instead of him putting it on me.
If I remember correctly, we first checked out this club called Motion that, at the time, was filled with despicably fat and ugly middle-agers.
So it was then to 8Trax which ended up being way fun. Funky black dudes disco dancing in all-white disco garb. And some lonely guy dancing alone in a corner. But still middle-agers. Ah, big deal.
At some point, we left and check out this place called The Adventurer's Club. We had no idea what the hell was going on in there because nothing was happening at all. Except for a lady in a French maid outfit. Yummy again. But since there was no consensus idea on what the point of it all was, we left for the Comedy Warehouse.
Imagine loser no-talent comedy actors performing party-style Whose Line Is It Anyways?. Then you get what we saw. Carl was a loser apparently.
In what may or may not have be the best AND worse decision of the night, we returned to Motion.
By then, there had been enough time for drugged-up, drunk 21 and overs looking for a piece of hot ass.
I was alright with it because this was the actual dance/club atmosphere I had in mind in choosing this place. But I had a MAJOR problem with Kristina getting dragged off by some horny caveman type against her will. We intervened, and that certainly wasn't the end of the possible debaucherous goings-on.
Mainly, horny drunk college kids could not keep their hands off of Vanessa and Natalia.
I mean, I know it's hard to resist that booty, but they were all over it like a sexually-aroused dog on some random person's leg.
Alot of the time at Motion was me making sure Natalia and Vanessa had a SAFE dancing experience, which included warding off creepy stalker guys watching the pairs of girls dancing, or completely random molestor types totally grabbing for Natalia's...female parts.

At about 1:45 we found our way back to the hotel through the maze of drunk drivers.
Although Vanessa went to sleep, the rest of us stayed up and ordered porno movies.
Latina Obsessions was decent, I think. Two of my favorite new phrases: "bueno como leche" and "Ay Papito!"
Meat The Fokkers only had the Fokkers and not the MEAT. Nor did we ever MEET the Fokkers. God damnit. Well that shit never ended, so we all kinda walked out of the theater per se at like 4:30 in the morning.

With Dan and Vanessa on the trip back home so early, Natalia, Gary, Kristina and I ultimately decided to pay a visit to Universal Studios.
That was soooo much fun, even though we were tired as hell.
Jimmy Neutron's Blast, The Mummy Returns, Jaws, Back to the Future, Men In Black, ET, T2, Twister.
I'm fairly sure about that list. At ET we all, of course, put funny names.
I was Constantine. Gary was Fabio. Kristina was Meena? And Natalia was Jemima. Perfect!
Gotta love the misty fog/pine smell too.
I'd say we didn't do everything, but we honestly covered all the worthwhile stuff.
We were gone by 4, so we ended up heading back home pretty early.
Dropped Kristina off, then Natalia, Gary and I got on the turnpike of forever.
There definitly was an ominous funnel cloud at some point, especially since there was a pretty significant downpour beforehand. Maybe an omen, maybe trying to tell us to stay in Orlando for the rest of time.
Got Arthur Treacher's fish and chips, which was really good. Gary's first rest stop, niceage.
Either way, we made like Catholic school girls and indulged in Natalia's ridiculous porno while waving her Rod around. Near the end, the porno died :( So we gossiped/shared our opinions like middle schoolers about everyone and everything.

All in all, thank you to everyone for their amazing gifts.
I really appreciate everyone who came on such a crazy weekend.
This is one of those memories that will surely define my high school experience.
A lifetime of memories, a life time of best friends. I couldn't have asked for more.
I love you guys!

At some point, I will utilize the ancient and outdated method of developing film.
They will be posted as soon as I acquire them.
